I will be taking these to India and when I am away from the apartment when it's dark, I will connect these to plug timers so they will go on and off when I am away making it appear as if someone is in the apartment. A cheap and light-weight security measure.

What can I say, I'm really SO pleased with these plug in lights, they are excellent quality, I'm using them at the moment in the kitchen cause my main ceiling 4 light strip has failed (think I need to get my house re-wired). They are fab, I'm so impressed and keep raving about them to my family, they think I've gone mad... but when you need a light or two to cook their grub by, I'm so well pleased, they are really great... then in the future after I've had my house re-wired I can use them anywhere...
